The crew of horses and riders returned from GMHA with huge smiles, miles of mud on their shoes and lots of ribbons! While the rain was in full force on Thursday, things got better as the weekend came along.
One mom reported her daughter “had the time of her life” just as we suspected she would. Everyone had fun, learned a lot and got to know fellow riders and parents. GMHA is always a favorite of BLF alumni.
We make arrangements for housing in March. If you are interested in more details about joining the BLF riders and Lisa at GMHA next year, please let us know so we can send along the information in January or February of 2018.
We have a large crew heading with about 20 horses up to Green Mountain Horse Association’s multi-day Hunter/Jumper Show this week. This is going to be a very busy week at BLF! Wishing all of our riders the best of luck and lots of fun!
GMHA is the show that many of our BLF alumni recall as their all time favorite. The large group rents a big house and the horses stay on the grounds with night watch. The grounds for the show include 3 wonderful rings. Riders of all levels are able to enjoy challenging themselves to do their best as they work with their horses in various equitation, hunter and jumper classes.
The best part of this show seems to be the fun that all of the riders have together. Lisa particularly likes that there is VERY limited cell service on the grounds and much more face to face time among riders. The equestrians are not the only ones enjoying the show – the parents and grandparents seem just as pleased with the beautiful surroundings and low stress atmosphere of GMHA Shows.
Love to ride but not show? You may want to speak to Lisa about our adult riders’ annual trek to GMHA in September for the Fall Foliage Pleasure Ride!
