PLEASE NOTE: WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE THOSE SERIOUS ABOUT BUYING A HORSE TO COME TRY THE HORSE OR HORSES OF INTEREST. We are not professional videographers and feel very strongly that video does not do our amazing horses justice. With AI and editing technology, the best way to learn about a horse is to ride it. Riding the horse gives you the real knowledge you need when considering such an important purchase. Connection isn’t something you can feel with video. Please ask about our trial ride rate which is deducted from purchase price should you buy from Bonnie Lea.
(Please note: as with all businesses, prices may vary from those shown as training progresses.)

EQUINOX
Equinox arrived to us as a trail horse. He is funny, kind and curious. He has so much more to offer. He went to the Pleasure Ride at GMHA and was a super star. He is handsome and would be a great forever friend. We haven’t tried to jump him. Likely drives. He is doing some flat lessons with intermediate riders now that he has more ring exposure. We will keep you posted on his progress. In the meantime, come meet him.
SARGE
Sarge loves to jump! He is a sorrel, Belgian-cross gelding born in 2018. He would love a more advanced rider but is currently used in lessons with skilled teens. He is solidly built at 16.2 hands. Sarge went to his first show in 2024 and has been showing this summer. The jumper ring at Saratoga does not faze him. Sarge was really shy when we got him and has grown tremendously but is more successful with a confident rider. He excels with exposure. Currently jumping 2’9″ but was showing at 2’3″-2’6″. Better pictures to come!
TOBY
Flashy 2015 Paint Gelding. This eleven year old is handsome! Great trail horse. Moves off of your leg, has flying changes and needs consistent work to reach his potential. More to come.
HANK
We love Hank! Affectionately known as Hank the Tank but also “With Thanks.” He is a draft cross with tons of potential and he loves to jump. Used in our lesson program, he is currently working on making his changes solid. Black, Percheron Cross 2021 (5 this year). Currently used in the lesson program but not for beginners or timid riders. He would love one person.
TITO (ON THE ROCKS)
Flashy Appaloosa-TB Cross, gelding. Born at BLF in 2023, this smart boy has already gone to local shows and Saratoga. He showed in the pleasure ring this summer and was such a good boy. He even was at the Tri-County Fair for the day show and didn’t even look twice at the crowds or rides.
YOUNGER STOCK
BLF has amazing new and upcoming homebred 2 and 3 year old geldings from a very talented dams. We have a very special filly, as well. Contact us for more information. These boys will need to be in a training program with a professional or an amateur with training experience.
FIG
Fig is a 2023 gelding born at BLF. He has already traveled to a clinic. He got his deep body and solid feet from his mother. His out of the Greylock Mountie line at BLF. He is another brother to Amelia, Dolcemonte, Tito, Kita and Manzano, etc. He walks, trots and canters. He gets both leads, lunges, crossties, ties, stands for the farrier and loads.

KITA
Kita is our 2019 homebred Oldenburg x TB bay mare proudly offered for sale or lease. Currently standing just over 16 hands. This girl is FANCY! She has such floaty movement and always places well in the hack. Kita debuted in the 2’3” hunters and .70m jumpers in 2024. She has shown successfully at Saratoga, Vermont, and several local shows! Her mother competed in many A-rated hunter derbies, and her father is a lovely hunter/jumper type who is extremely sensible. Kita has an in-your-pocket personality and is very sensible. She has her lead changes and has a good understanding of lateral work. Kita trail rides, ties, stands for farrier/vet/bathing, and loads on trailer. She is very bold over fences and is not bothered by natural obstacles or filler. We believe Kita will thrive in the hunter and derby rings, but could also be successful in any ring. Such a great opportunity for someone to continue bringing along this fancy girl! July 1, 2019. New video to come.
Video now available!
DOLCEMONTE
Dolcemonte (Dolce) – SALE OR LEASE – (Lease 25K per year) Born at BLF in 2011, “Dolce” is an extremely athletic, 15-year-old Welsh – Thoroughbred cross with permanent pony card and outstanding talent. Dapples all over with a gorgeous coat and shine. He has “A” show experience, and has done clinics with Greg Best, but has far too much talent to be in our lesson program. Dolce is adjustable with the ability to do horse or pony strides. A talented guy, Dolcemonte was just given a judge’s award at the 2026 Fall Outreach at Saratoga. His last lease was in Eastern Massachusetts with showing including the Dorset Summer Festival and Field Stone with youth riders at 2′ and 2’3″. He is even big enough for IHSA shows and a very popular draw. Adorable mover, auto changes and great sense of humor. Dolce has been ridden in local parades, trails and lessons. Looking for his very own kid or petite adult to love. He is a knockout contender in all three rings. Great personality and very friendly pony, he will certainly keep you entertained! Born March 31, 2011. Newer video coming soon.

All stand for the farrier and vet, stand tied and load easily onto a trailer. The foals from our farm are well socialized and turnout with several others. All have grown into faithful companions and many into brave show horses! They are the best kind of project – one with a great foundation.
