ODIN
Odin is a 16.3 hand, bay gelding. He drives and rides. He is a lovely trail horse and steady. Born in 2020, Hank is 6 years old with a kind eye and prominent star. Odin has started to be used in lessons with more advanced students. He walks, trots and canters in the ring like a pro and gives lead changes. He is a great dressage prospect. Currently in front shoes, stands for the farrier, will cross-tie, ground tie, and loads on the trailer. Great with other horses and can turn out in a mixed herd. Lots of potential to be a husband-horse but just needs more riding.

KAT
Kat, a black draft-cross, is an amazing prospect with a kind eye. At just 5 years old and approximately 16 hands, she does best with a daily routine and bonding. Under saddle, she walks, trots and canters (with both leads), leg yields and is very comfortable. She also drives! She is currently used in intermediate and advanced lessons. Great for trail riding, Kat can be ridden with English or Western tack. She can also be driven single or driven double! Beautiful and sound.
SARGE
Sarge loves to jump! He is a sorrel, Belgian-cross gelding born in 2018. He would love a more advanced rider but is currently used in lessons with skilled teens. He is solidly built at 16.2 hands. Sarge went to his first show in 2024. The jumper ring at Saratoga did not faze him. Sarge was really shy when we got him and has grown tremendously but is more successful with a confident rider. He excels with exposure. Currently jumping 2’9″ but was showing at 2’3″-2’6″. Better pictures to come!
TOBY

Gus
Gus is the best “husband” horse you could ask for! Level headed and quiet. More whoa than go with the sweetest disposition and simply adorable. He is a grulla with a star, stripe and snip. A draft-cross gelding, he is a perfect size for longer legs. Gus can be ridden in English and Western tack. He is educated enough for the ring and can go on trails! He is a multifaceted horse for the whole family.
SHORTCAKE
Shortcake is a 2019 sensible BLF bred and raised Welsh pony gelding. Sire, Better Than Gold and Dam, our sweet Tiramisu. A very smart boy! Shortcake currently walk, trots, canters and jumps alone or in company. Levelheaded and confident to ride. He has been ridden on trails, in parades, in the indoor and outdoor rings and even used in our lesson program with intermediate and advanced riders. He has both leads, and no vices. Shortcake lunges, free schools, ties, walks through water, stands for farrier, easy to clip and has rope halter handling experience. He is very brave and laid back, yet has a sweet and goofy personality. We really love this pony and he really loves trail riding! Beautiful barefoot feet and keeps a very neat stall. Doesn’t mind the crowd, loves attention. Shortcake has a stockier build like his mom and his half brother, Dolcemonte. Both half brothers from same dam are cute jumpers. Up to date on shots. We love Hank! Affectionately known as Hank the Tank. He is a draft cross with tons of potential and he loves to jump. Black, Percheron Cross 2021 (5 this year).

KITA
Kita is our 2019 homebred Oldenburg x TB bay mare proudly offered for sale. Currently standing at 16.05hh and still growing. This girl is FANCY! She has such floaty movement and always places well in the hack. Kita debuted in the 2’3” hunters and .70m jumpers in 2024. She has shown successfully at Saratoga, Vermont, and several local shows! Her mother competed in many A-rated hunter derbies, and her father is a lovely hunter/jumper type who is extremely sensible. Kita has an in-your-pocket personality and is very sensible. She is currently learning lead changes and has a good understanding of lateral work. Kita trail rides, ties, stands for farrier/vet/bathing, and loads on trailer. She is very bold over fences and is not bothered by natural obstacles or filler. We believe Kita will thrive in the hunter and derby rings, but could also be successful in any ring. Kita would do best in a professional program with a professional or adult amateur rider. Such a great opportunity for someone to continue bringing along this fancy girl with so much potential! DOLCEMONTE
Dolcemonte (Dolce) – Born at BLF in 2011, “Dolce” is an extremely athletic, 15-year-old Welsh – Thoroughbred cross with permanent pony card and outstanding talent. Dapples all over with a gorgeous coat and shine. He has “A” show experience, and has done clinics with Greg Best, but has far too much talent to be in our lesson program. Dolce is adjustable with the ability to do horse or pony strides. His most recent lease was in Eastern Massachusetts with showing including the Dorset Summer Festival and Field Stone with youth rider at 2′ and 2’3″. Adorable mover, auto changes and great sense of humor. Dolce has been ridden in local parades. Looking for his very own kid to love, knockout contender in all three rings. Great personality and very friendly pony, he will certainly keep you entertained! Born March 31, 2011. Newer video coming soon.

Please contact us about other horses available for sale or lease at Bonnie Lea. All of our babies are people oriented and friendly. They are sensible, sound and without vices. All stand for the farrier and vet, stand tied and load easily onto a trailer. The foals from our farm are well socialized and turnout with several others. All have grown into faithful companions and many into brave show horses! They are the best kind of project – one with a great foundation.
